LAN09Currently, start-up entrepreneurs in Nigeria have little or no assistance by way of equity investment beyond the FFF (Family, Friends and Fools) channels traditionally available. Loans from banks and microfinance institutions, often hard to come by, remain their only source of capital outside these channels. Also, angel investing is absent in the Nigerian investment space currently dominated by real estate, blue chip stocks and fixed assets. An opportunity to harness this high reward investment vehicle for successful business leaders, professionals and institutions therefore exists.
