Visionary Angels, funding terrific startups for economic growth!

Join us in changing the face and narrative of angel investment in Africa.

Enabling Angel Investors

We want angel investors to have transparent access to the best early-stage deals in Africa across various accelerators, incubators and venture-building programs

First Outside Checks

We aim for our angels to be the first to invest in a startup, helping to provide that initial validation check and professional mentoring.

Support and Governance

We enable great governance practices from the onset and ensure reporting best practices between Angel investors and startups.

About Us

The Lagos Angel Network (LAN) is a dynamic community of angel investors and corporate organizations committed to driving innovation and entrepreneurship in Lagos and beyond.

As an exclusive network, we aim to enable and empower the Nigerian and broader African business ecosystem by educating business angels, facilitating angel investments into promising, early-stage startups, and advocating for sustainable private and public sector policy.

FAQs

No, LAN is not a fund. We are a non-profit organization that aims to improve angel investment across the country and continent by increasing access to and creating the infrastructure needed for safety and reliability

Since we are not a fund and are not performance based, we do not take carried interest on investments.

Yes, we charge membership, diligence, and administration fees to accepted members/institutions who come in through a warm introduction or application.

Startups are chosen according to LAN’s recommended investment thesis and, more importantly, by the thesis of our angel members. In addition, each member signifies the sectors and African geographies they are interested in, and we tailor deal choices to their taste.

LAN members also enjoy co-investment opportunities from fellow members who are leading investors in the African ecosystem.
